ARGENTA TO INTRODUCE WORKING FROM HOME PRACTICES IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19

As a result of the developing Coronavirus outbreak and following the advice from the UK Government, the Argenta Group’s Senior Management, in conjunction with its Business Continuity and Crisis Management teams, has invoked part of its Business Continuity Plan and has instructed staff to work from home until further notice. This arrangement will be reviewed based on Government advice as the situation develops.

There have not as yet been any confirmed cases of Covid-19 within any of the Argenta offices either here in London or overseas and the action now being taken is to protect the health and wellbeing of staff and their families.

Whilst there will be no physical presence either in the office or at the underwriting boxes at Lloyd’s, Argenta Syndicate Management Ltd (together with its managed Syndicates 2121 and 6134) remains very much open for business and will continue to provide their customers, clients and supporting brokers with as near normal a service as possible.

The same basis of working will apply to all Argenta Group UK subsidiaries including Argenta Private Capital Ltd and Argenta Tax & Corporate Services Ltd.

All staff will continue to be available via their usual telephone numbers and email addresses and this notice will be updated as the situation evolves.

These working practices have been extended to the Argenta offices in Australia. The offices in Singapore and Shanghai (Lloyd’s China) have already introduced different and successful working patterns based on segregated groups working alternating shifts. These will continue for the present time.
