Argenta Holdings Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hannover Re, is an underwriting and insurance services group operating in the Lloyd’s Market.
The Group includes Argenta Syndicate Management Ltd (ASML), a Lloyd’s Managing Agent; Argenta Private Capital Ltd (APCL), a specialist insurance investment business providing products and advice to individual and corporate investors at Lloyd’s; and Argenta International Limited (AIL), a Lloyd’s-approved Service Company for Argenta’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 2121. AIL operates a branch office in Australia under the name MHIA, which specialises in providing home and contents insurance and has over 30 years’ experience supporting homeowners in land lease communities across Australia.
ASML manages the affairs of Lloyd’s Syndicate 2121 and SPA 6134. Syndicate 2121, which benefits from Lloyd’s S&P credit rating of A+, provides both insurance and reinsurance solutions across a broad cross section of classes.
Business is underwritten on a global basis although the Syndicate’s primary markets are the US, the UK and the Asia Pacific region. SPA 6134, set up in 2018, underwrites a quota share reinsurance of business written by Syndicate 2121.
ASML is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.
APCL provides private, institutional and corporate investors the opportunity to invest directly in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market. Based on the Central Coast of New South Wales, MHIA provides tailored insurance solutions with a focus on reliability, expertise and personalised service, protecting more than 35,000 customers nationwide.
