Health and Wellbeing

  • Paid sick leave.

Hybrid Working

We believe that a blended approach to working – both in the workplace and remotely, typically from home – can be beneficial to Argenta and for you as an individual. We strive to create a culture that supports different working preferences, helps you to maintain a healthy work-life balance and enables you to maximise your own performance and that of your team.
 

  • Our hybrid working policy applies to most roles and provides for 60% of your time to be office-based and 40% to be spent working remotely. 
  • We currently operate a flexible approach to start and finish times, but all employees work between the core hours of 10am-4pm. 
  • We have a monthly company ‘Anchor Day’ to encourage social interaction with colleagues. We usually provide breakfast or lunch or arrange an in-office event on these days.
  • We operate a 'dress for your day' policy, which provides greater flexibility to wear clothing that employees feel more comfortable and confident in at work. We encourage you to use your discretion to determine the appropriate dress code for the day depending on individual meetings and commitments.

Remuneration and Paid Leave

  • We aim to pay a competitive base salary and we partner with external benchmarking firms to ensure we pay in line with the market.
  • Salaries are reviewed annually at the end of each performance year, and we also run a discretionary annual bonus scheme, payable in June.
  • All employees are entitled to 28 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays.
  • We provide full pay for 26 weeks of maternity leave.
  • We provide full pay for 26 weeks of shared parental leave.

Pension, Life Assurance and Other Financial Support

  • Pension Scheme – Argenta operates a defined contribution pension scheme where we contribute 10% of your monthly salary to your pension; you don’t need to contribute anything if you do not want to.
  • Life Assurance – Employees are provided with non-contributory life assurance of 6x annual salary.
  • We’re a member of the Cycle to Work scheme, currently with Green Commute Initiative.
  • We offer an interest-free season ticket loan to help spread the cost of an annual travel ticket.

Learning and Development

  • Encouraging our people to reach their full potential is part of our commitment. We invest in a range of learning and development opportunities, recognising that employees are at different stages of their careers.
  • Our learning and development programmes range from financial support to achieve a professional qualification, such as CII, IFoA and ACCA, to in-house courses with specialist external facilitators, and management and leadership talent development programmes.
  • We run a monthly 'lunch and learn' series, which allows employees to listen to a speaker, enjoy a sandwich lunch and meet people from other teams. 

Community

  • Volunteering – We encourage all our employees to give back by contributing their time and skills to communities and individuals in need.
  • Our social committee organises regular socials, such as quizzes, sports and bingo, as well as annual company-wide summer and Christmas parties.
