Our Team

Robert was appointed Managing Director of APCL in 2021. He has spent the entirety of his career in the insurance market, including 11 years at other members’ agencies before joining APCL in 2005.

Since joining APCL, Robert has gained extensive experience in all facets of Argenta’s members’ agency business, including managing the company’s syndicate analysis and insurance market research function and operations team. He has also overseen both private and corporate client portfolios.

Robert completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Henley Management College in 2007. 

Guy joined the insurance industry having completed a short service commission in the Royal Navy. Guy has been involved in the allocation of private client capital at Lloyd's and joined the APCL board in 1998. His experience includes advising clients on all aspects of their underwriting, as well as buying and selling Lloyd's Limited Liability Vehicles (LLVs). He currently heads up the Client Director team. Guy is a Chartered Insurer (ACII) and has a degree in Finance and Risk Management. 

Kate is an Executive Director at Argenta Private Capital Ltd (APCL). Kate joined the APCL board in November 2022, and is responsible for Business Development, Tax and Corporate Services.

Kate has over 15 years’ experience in providing a variety of tax advisory, tax audit and tax compliance services to the financial services sector. She joined Argenta in 2019 as Head of Corporate Tax following her previous experience at Grant Thornton UK LLP and Mazars LLP and was additionally appointed as Head of Business Development in 2022. She is also responsible for providing tax advice and compliance to the Argenta and wider Hannover Re Group.

Kate is a Chartered Tax Advisor and Chartered Accountant and has a BA Hons degree in Hispanic Studies.

Marcus started his career with Sedgwick in 1998 and has worked in a variety of finance roles within the Lloyd's market. He qualified as an accountant in 1999 and was appointed as Finance Director of APCL in 2003. He holds a dual role and is also Head of Corporate Finance for Argenta Holdings.

Marcus holds a BA in Business Studies from the University of Portsmouth. 

Kevin joined the APCL Board in November 2022 and assumed responsibility for Client Services in 2023. He has worked in the Lloyd’s market since leaving school in 1985, initially working for Lloyd’s before entering the members' agency community in 1989. He joined Argenta in 2008.

Kevin was part of the working group that established LLPs as acceptable Lloyd’s vehicles and, prior to his appointment as Client Director in 2015, held positions running operations teams at both APCL and other companies.

Andrew joined the Lloyd’s market in 1985, initially working on an underwriting box for the then largest syndicate in the market. He was responsible for the syndicate reinsurance programme and for the analysis of data.

His move into syndicate research as a members’ agent ten years later was a natural one. He has worked in research at four members’ agencies, with experience including developing the proprietary syndicate ratings model as well as a methodology to assist in valuation of syndicates at auction. He heads a team of four at APCL, with experience across a broad spread of insurance disciplines including broking, underwriting, reinsurance, performance management and data analytics.

Andrew is a Chartered Insurance Underwriting Agent (ACII) and has a degree in Financial Economics.

Kim was appointed as APCL’s Operations Manager in 2018 and manages a team of 14. She has worked in the Lloyd's market since leaving school in 1985, with valuable experience gained from her work at several members' agency and managing agency businesses.

Upon joining the Argenta group, Kim was IT Support Manager for 13 years at Argenta Holdings before she assumed her role as Operations Manager at APCL.
