Argenta Private Capital Limited and Helios launch 2026 Starter Home series

Argenta Private Capital Limited* (APCL), an FCA-regulated adviser to Lloyd’s investors, today announces the launch of the 2026 round of its Starter Homes investment proposition.

The Starter Homes are a joint initiative with Helios Underwriting PLC (Helios), an AIM-listed investment company.

This is the third round of Starter Homes and builds on the success of the previous two editions, with a range of vehicles designed to meet evolving investor demand.

Starter Homes offer investors access to Lloyd’s of London at a lower capital commitment than traditionally required and without the need to own the underlying capacity. Starter Home capital commitments begin at around £270k in Year one and reach levels of around £580k in Year three.

The innovative arrangement with Helios allows APCL Starter Home clients to invest in a hand-picked portfolio of syndicates, curated by market-leading provider Helios for a single Lloyd’s Year of Account (YoA), in this case the 2026 YoA. Investors are thus provided access to a set of diversified business and classes without exposure to earlier years. As investors buy the underwriting vehicle, they are able to select their own underwriting portfolio from 2027 onwards.

Lloyd’s market conditions for the 2026 YoA remain favourable despite some softening, and the Starter Home programme allows potential investors to invest in the 2026 year up until 30th of June 2026, subject to Helios agreement and with a preferential pricing structure, if submitted before the 31st March. The investment timetable thus bypasses the time constraints of the traditional Lloyd’s capacity auction process (which concluded in November 2025).

At Argenta, we see our role as broadening access to Lloyd’s returns on behalf of an ever-increasing cohort of investors. Lloyd’s remains attractive and largely uncorrelated to other asset classes, offering an important diversifier for the discerning investor. Working together with the expert Helios team, we are able to provide existing and new investors access to a balanced, diversified and attractive portfolio."
